Paul Barker is a Partner and Portfolio Manager for Elementum (Bermuda) Ltd. Paul has been involved in in the Insurance Linked Securities market since 2007 and currently oversees collateralized reinsurance underwriting and portfolio construction as head of Elementum’s Bermuda office. He is also involved in general business strategy and oversight and serves on the firm’s Executive Committee. Before transitioning to Bermuda, Paul worked in Elementum’s Chicago office where he focused on portfolio construction, hedging, investment analysis, and catastrophe modeling, and with Aon Benfield Analytics focusing on catastrophe risk analysis. Paul is a graduate of the University of Washington where he earned a BS in Applied and Computational Math Sciences with a focus in Statistics and a minor in Math.
