Founding Partner
John DeCaro is a Founding Partner of Elementum Advisors, LLC. An industry pioneer, John has been involved in the ILS asset class since 1995. He served as one of the original members of Aon Capital Markets before transitioning to several buy side roles prior to launching Elementum in 2009. John oversees Elementum’s catastrophe bond business and the firm’s marketing efforts while also providing strategic leadership for the company. John earned a BS in Finance from the University of South Carolina, an MS in Financial Markets and Trading from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and received the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1997.
